Como miembros de World Duchenne Organization, celebramos la realización de espacios como el Accelerate Duchenne Multi-Stakeholder Meeting, que reúnen a distintos actores para dialogar y trabajar en conjunto por mejores resultados en el desarrollo de nuevos tratamientos para la Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne. 💚
La colaboración, el intercambio de conocimiento y la participación de todos los sectores son fundamentales para seguir avanzando en beneficio de las personas que viven con Duchenne y sus familias.
Reconocemos el trabajo de World Duchenne Organization por impulsar estos importantes espacios de encuentro y colaboración.
Two incredible days in Amsterdam.
September 24th concluded the Third Accelerate Duchenne Multi-Stakeholder meeting: Agenda for Change.
World Duchenne Organization organized this event, with full support of the European Medicines Agency.
All with one goal - to identify what all stakeholders can do in order to have better outcomes in medicines development for Duchenne patients.
The starting point for this meeting was the paper Paediatric medicines development for Duchenne muscular dystrophy: An EU regulatory perspective.
The meeting preceded a multistakeholder workshop at the EMA on September 25th Real-world data collection in Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Opening keynote by Justus Kuijer reminded us what really matters to patients and we continued with a full day of workshoping, breakout sessions, to discuss in detail what are the main challenges in using real-world data evidence in DMD and how to accelerate development on new medicines. All agreed that continuous discussion among all relevant stakeholders is the key.
A big thank you to EMA and to both Elizabeth Vroom and Dimitrios Athanasiou, who played a crucial role in organizing both meetings.
