We catch, spay and release animals here at the beach in Yucatan, Mexico. All dogs that have been sterilized by NMP have a green collar plus ear notch.

So, sadly the dog population doesn't take a break,

Distemper in certain areas is really taking over.
Big shout out to Jackie who earlier this week messaged about a sick NMP dog who was struggling, this was from the same pack as Harry who died this week from distemper related illness earlier this week. We managed to catch her and took her to the vets, but to late he was euthanized and buried,

The best we can do is take them to the vet and get expert opinion on the prognosis and outcome,

This week, I have buried three and many are hanging in there and we are monitoring groups to see what's going on.

Just to say to euthanize a dog is 450 pesos, I bury them for free.

The time has come for me to leave No Mas Perritos. I will pay all of the money donated via PayPal to the vets. I'm sure the receiving bank account for PayPal donations will be changed.
I want to thank everyone for their support over the past 12 or so years. I will continue to do my best to care for the free roaming dogs but it's no longer tenable for me to be a part of NMP.

Para todos los que dicen que no castrarán a su perro, miren a este perro que no está castrado y vive en las calles de Chicxulub.

Malula, quien cuida una manada en Chicxulub, quería que examinaran a este perro. Pensábamos que era un tumor, pero después de una consulta en la Clínica Veterinaria Paws on the Beach, le diagnosticaron una hernia. Le hicieron una ecografía y mostró una próstata agrandada que le causó una sobredosis de testosterona. ¡La próstata creció y terminó desplazando su vejiga!

Así que el pronóstico es simple: tiene eurlica leve, y ahora que lo castramos, su testosterona disminuirá, su próstata volverá a su tamaño normal y ¡será un perro feliz!

¡ASÍ QUE CASTREN A SU PERRO!

These three were also steralized today at Paws on the Beach Vet Center two girls and male that live on Maeva entrada, they are cared for and have happy life there, but no more puppies!!

For everyone who says I won't neuter my boy, take a look at this dog has not been neutered and lives on the streets in Chicxulub.
Malula who takes care of a pack in Chicxulub wanted this boy looked at, we thought it was a tumor, but after a consultation at Paws on the Beach Vet Center it was diagnosed as a hernia, he had an ultrasound and it showed an enlarged prostate which caused and overdose of testosterone, the prostate grew and in the end pushed his bladder out!

So the prognosis is simple, he has mild eurlica, and now we neutered him his testosterone will subside his prostate will shrink back to normal size and he will be happy dog!!

SO NEUTER YOUR DOG!!

Today we sadly said goodbye to Harry.
Harry lived partly on calle 13a and partly on 15 as well,
Many people took care of Harry, Foxy and kitty who has also passed.
The dogs had many who looked out for them, Dina Muzzatti Deanna Quvus St Denis Nick and Sonya Besson as well as many others.
I was due to take him to paws this morning as I am sure he had distemper and if so probably euthanize him, but Harry did it his way and passed away in the back garden of Dina, I collected him this morning and buried him next to kitty.
