Today I took the three puppies I have been fostering since Saturday's clinic to Merida to hand them over to there new family and the ranch life they will now enjoy!!

Yesterday was the Chicxulub pueblo steralization clinic, hosted by Ester y Liza it was another amazing experience.
145 surgeries performed, but what is amazing is the people you meet, the stories they have, and at times it can be heartbreaking as well, As always this clinic through up a few very sad cases and some amazing stories and outcomes!!

It is also interesting that as in most things in life things are not always as black and white as we think, sometimes to us we see things as wtf!! but when you seek out more information and talking to people in a calm sympathetic way can yeld fantastic results,

Anyway, I took in 7 dogs, 4 puppies and three adult females from here,
The fantastic news was all four puppies were adopted and one other dog was adopted, so 145 surgeries 5 adoptions makes you fizz!!

Anyone who volunteers at clinics will tell you just how tough it can be, the night before you are like WHY did I say yes!! It physically drains you, the heat the lack of air all combine to test you, and let's face it some of us are well past our best before date!
but we come through it and when you get home and in my case crack open a beer and reflect on the day you just grin from ear to ear thinking of all the people you got to meet, the stories they tell you, the laughs and at times the tears all go to make another unforgettable day ❤️

Alice told me about some dogs opposite the Tixinxic, between Chelem and chuburna.
So a week ago I went and tried to catch them and no go, I was up against a time issue, so Wednesday I returned with the trap, set it , went to Paws on the Beach Vet Center to pick up Molly and.on the way back I seen the trap was sprung, unfortunately with the trap you don't get to decide which dog you catch!!
So two adult females and an adultale and a adolescence male I got the male puppy!!!

Still, one at a time and they will get steralized

This week I went to see Andy and Melissa at Taco Maya to collect the last few unsold t-shirts and also the money they collected for us which I paid into Paws on the Beach Vet Center the sum of 1100 pesos.
As most probably know they have now sadly closed, maybe not forever who knows!!

This week I was asked by George if I could go to Chicxulub and get a pregnant dog, George takes care of Molly and Molly's boyfriend and one of there last offspring that he adopted, Molly spends her time on the street or in his garden.

A year ago Molly had puppies and George found homes for them all 9 of them, he also kept one himself! But this time he felt he couldn't cope with it all again so sadly we decided to steralize here so she won't have anymore.
She spent the night at the vets recovering and today I took her back,
George has said she can stay in his house while she fully recovers!

We like George!!

UPDATE ON JAKE!!
He is doing well. He is steadier on his feet, his eyes are clear and bright, he is happy, so things are going well with him. Another blood test will show how well he is producing new cells etc
Ideally he could do with a quiet place to stay gor approx 4 weeks to rest, recover and finish his medicine. If you could offer Jake a temporary place that would be amazing.

Paid $7000 to My Family Pet Center and checked on Jake. He is doing ok, he may need a transfusion but we will know more later.

Thank you to Kim Bahr for all you have done for sweetpea this week. Sweet p*e lived by the glorieta/oxxo in Chelem and was fixed by NMP a few tears ago. She became unwell a couple of weeks ago and we assisted Kim with the costs of treatment. However sadly she was not recovering and Kim made the brave and hard decision to put her to sleep this morning.
Jake from Puerto Lindo Pack has also been unwell, infant the whole gang ( all fuxed) were unwell. Everyone recovered but Jake was struggling he has been in hospital for the past w days as we try to stabilise him. He us recovering well and I will update on him later.

What a special day,
Little zorita has not only found herself the perfect home she also has a special mission which is to cure a broken heart.

Sadly Jacque Small lost her dog Chela last week, Jacque saw the post I did from the Progreso clinic and Zorita called to her.

This morning they met and that was it ❤️ and now Zorita has a special place as you can see.

Just want to say a very special thank you to Melanie and her neighbour for fostering the puppies after there mom was poisoned,
Ps Zorita has a brother if you are interested 😉
