Street Dog Strides is a grassroots community outreach and fundraising initiative, dedicated to supporting street dogs and local pet owners in Akumal, Mexico.

Street Dog Strides is 100% POWERED by VOLUNTEERS! If you would like to be a part of this initiative, please send us a message! You can be local or live abroad, as there are many ways to help! Volunteering requires between 1 and 6 hours per week. Here's what we need:

We are still searching for a furever home for Ben. He is a loyal and loving companion who will do best in a home with another dog. Ben also loves to look out on his surroundings from a patio or terrace. He likes a calm, relaxed enviornment with slow walks. He is accustomed to condo living.

Foster Opportunity!
We are seeking a foster or direct adoption for this golden boy! He was hit by a car in Chemuyil and was taken to the vet by our good friends, Trish and Doug. Great news is that Quito likes dogs and cats.😻

Crate training is going VERY well!
Cat training....not so much.

Therefore, the perfect furever home for Ben must not include cats 😞
Ben is a very good, but rather slow walker. He is also a couch potato, so a home with another dog that matches this calm energy is what we are searching for!
