Zomba City Civil Society Network (Zaccison) is a body of
25 registered Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) working in Zomba City. Formed in March 2012 with technical and financial support from German Technical Cooperation(GIZ). Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Zomba City Council in March 2014. Contact address:

Governing body
The Network shall be governed by an Executive committee comprised of members elected by the Network‘s membership at specially convened meeting and shall remain in office for a period two years. The committee shall consist of:
Chairman/ Vice-chairman,
Secretary/ Vice-secretary, and
Three Committee members including
5 elected thematic team leaders from the five thematic groups;
Duties of the Committee are as follows-:
Direct and coordinate activities of the Network
Convene and preside over all meetings called by the network membership
Represent the interest of the network
Fundraise by way of soliciting funding through joint proposals
The thematic areas as follows-:
Health, Sanitation and Water including HIV/AIDS
Food Security and Nutrition,
Environment and Climate Change
Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance
Child Rights, Gender, the Elderly, and Disabled
Activities
Organise activities to sensitise the public on democracy, human rights and cross cutting issues
Mobilise and capacity build communities to adopt democratic and human rights values
Collaborate in planning joint activities under each thematic area
Capacity building of network membership
Sharing information, knowledge, expertise and resource wherever necessary
