We are located in Salima along Maganga Road, 10 KM from Msangu township.

This morning I woke up terrified of the heavy rains that Salima is receiving. I communicated with our staff via WhatsApp forum that all programs have been suspended due to heavy rains.

A moment later, one of my staff called and told me that her house has flooded and that she needs help to move out. Thoko and I called another staff who told us that her house is about to collapse and that she getting ready to move.

We have visited both of them and right now they are all safe. We are just waiting to have the rains stop so that we can come up with a better plan on how best to evacuate them to safety.

The roads are in bad shape and the rains seems like is not ceasing anytime soon.

So far everyone is safe. Please, pray for our staff and kids. Pray that the rains should cease so that we can plan the next steps.

On Friday, February 20th was a special day in which Chikondi Christian Secondary School quiz team was hosted by Demera Community Day School quiz team.

Demera CDSS outshone our boys by 50 points to 47 points. Overall, we are super proud of our boys for taking a bold step to compete with their counterparts.

At the end of last month, we hosted our 2025 Fanta Trophy, in which 218 kids and youths, together with Chikondi Christian Secondary School teachers and staff of Love Driven Ministries, suspended all the normal programs and dedicated the weekend for one reason: To have fun. Games were played, chants were sung, and the best team went home with 2 bottles of Fanta, while everyone else went home with 1 bottle of Fanta plus a delicious meal.

Special shoutout to all of you who generously contributed towards this year's Fanta Trophy. Thank you so much for always responding faithfully in creating a safe space for kids and youths in our community.

Today, December 2nd, 2025, is a special day dedicated to people who are trying their best to make this world a better place to live. Over the years, you have been a blessing to us on any given day, and I would like you to know that I am thankful for your generosity.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT: ALEXANDER CHIMA

Alexander Chima was one of the first camp leaders we recruited in January 2021. When Alexander joined our team, he was very young, energetic and ambitious.

Over the past 4 years, Alexander has been a huge part of our ministry, he has served in different capacities from such as camp leader and later on intern after he went to college.

On January 19th, 2023, I drove from Salima to Lilongwe to drop Alexander at the Lilongwe University Of Agriculture And Natural Resources (LUANAR) NRC campus to start his freshman year. On our way to Lilongwe, I spent a good amount of time encouraging him to work hard in school for that was the only way he could make his mom proud. Over the years, Alexander has continued to be huge part of our ministry while continued to work hard in school.

Soon after he finished his course work, he joined our team as a Summer Intern and in September 2025, he joined our Chikondi Christian Secondary School as one of the Science teachers.

On Thursday, November 20th, 2025, Alexander Chima graduated from LUANAR with a university diploma in Agriculture General with Credit.

Today, Alexander is not only giving back to the community he has been a part of, but he is also investing in the lives of future leaders.

I love Alexander’s story because it shows that a generous investment in the lives of youths not only improves their lives and families, but it also transforms their communities for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Though I missed his graduation, I am still proud of the man he is becoming every single day.

CONGRATULATIONS ALEXANDER FOR THE MILESTONE ACHIEVED.
