we are happy to announce that one of alumni of chaguwo primary school has made it to the Malawi university of business and applied sciences(MUBAS) to pursue bachelor of arts in jaunalism. 2 years ago we had one who was selected at the university of Malawi to purse bachelor of education in linguistics .

What was a mere vision is now coming to reality.we are greatful for everyone who believed, helped and trusted chaguwo sustainable development foundation. Your belief has taken as this far.May the lord richly bless you all. We pray and know that this is just the beginning greater is coming.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY !!!

Today we celebrate resilience, perseverance and courage of incredible women behind chaguwo sustainable development foundation.women who have pushed and birthed chaguwo to where it is today. From the director herself , the headmistress of chaguwo primary, female friends of chaguwo, the social media director, nurses at the clinic and every woman who has incredibly helped chaguwo we thank and celebrate you sincerely .

This great support makes us reflect on this years THEME: GIVE TO GAIN. That indeed investment in women is investment to progress.when we support women's education, health and economic empowerment we create a world that everyone benefits.

SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAMS AT CHAGUWU PRIMARY SCHOOL.

Recently Chaguwo started a school feeding program which is provision of porridge to students. This program was influenced by high school absenteeism by learners due to hunger. Most learners failed to attend classes as they were weak and couldn't walk to school. As a motivation to go to school the school brought this feeding program.

The school was given a farm by the chief in chaguwo and students themselves cultivate crops to sustain the program. The students under teachers supervision plant, apply fertilizer and harvest the maize .Despite fertilizer problems they faced last year ,the school was able to harvest some crops to sustain the students for sometime. Farming season is upon us and the students are set to cultivate crops for the porridge program for this year.

Chaguwo sustainable development foundation unites with other organization in the fight against gender based violence towards women and girls, under the theme united to end digital violence against women and girls.

Digital violence is real in malawi, it takes many form's such as cyber bullying,online Harrasment and hate speech. This mainly stems from the toxic masculine traits men are taught within homes that they extend to women online making the environment hostile for them.In the end women seclude themselves from the internet affecting their ability to leverage or use the internet for their benefit. The internet is a centre for social networking, advocacy, school and job opportunities ,women loose all these because of digital violence.

To negate such behavior we all have to unite and fight against it.
