A cry for divine grace, Justice and protection @ Bangula Fountain of Victory ministries
Keynote passage: Psalm 35: 1-9
David prayed with all his emotions, anger, soul and mighty after being tormented by his enemies for so long.
In 1 Samuel 17, David emerged victorious after defeating Goliath and the Philistines. His victory and joy was short-lived (temporary). Instead of celebrating, King Saul started plotting traps to kill David. Saul attempted to pin David to the wall with his arrow, thank God, David was saved.
Saul made up his mind to kill David by any means. David lost the promised wife, the daughter of Saul. He started running away from one curve to another. He had to beg food and water from well-wishers. He lost his position, His inheritance and everything because of his enemy ( the devil working in king Saul).
The life of David moved from grace to grass and all hopes were gone.
After all the tribulations, David realized and remembered that there is God of his salvation: the God who chose him, saved him and gave him victory in the battlefield and the field. This is the God of vengeance who punish children because of the sins of their father. After remembering how God saved him in the bush and from the hands of Goliath, David failed to hold his grief, anger, suppression and emotions.
He had to vehemently pour out issues in his spirit and loudly cry to God:
"Contend, O LORD, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me. Take up shield and buckler; arise and come to my aid. Brandish spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, "I am your salvation." In times of trouble, we don't shut our mouths and control what we say.
There are times we tolerate our enemies to live but when the suffering is too much, there is no mercy for the wicked, let them die.
David provoked the heavenly powers to come to his rescue. He appealed to The Lord that his enemies are the enemies of God. He envoked angels who are the ministering spirits to destroy his enemies (whether in person or in spirit).
As per the promise of God that He will not despise the prayer of a broken and contrite spirit (Psalm 51), immediately, God issued out justice and mercy to David. Heaven honoured the deep cry of David. No sooner,
his enemies started killing one another. King Saul who wanted to kill David, he ended up committing su***de, he killed himself in the battlefield. Israel and Juda who denied him, they came and made David their king! His stolen wife was restored. All his possessions were restored.
David enjoyed the blessings of salvation after such a breathtaking emotional prayer.
When times are hard, mountains are high, the waters are unravelled, no hope and no joy, You cannot be looking at your enemies while celebrating your adversary. It is the time to pray to God with our emotions. We can cry, put on ashes, roll on the ground to summon heaven for grace, justice and protection. Let God arise and his enemies be scattered. Let God avenge for our enemies for they are also His enemies.. Let the wicked ones die. No mercy for the wicked. Don't worry for the wicked. There are many good people who will see your glory. Your salvation is the joy of your life and glory to your God.
May God continue fighting for your enemies. Amen.
