This week we had a powerful and successful step forward as we held a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) engagement meeting with health service providers and dedicated Youth Champions at Alinafe Health Centre in TA Mwadzama, Nkhotakota District under the Act Together project with support from AmplifyChange

The meeting created a platform for collaboration, shared learning, and alignment on our mission to reduce teenage pregnancies, prevent maternal deaths, and improve access to Post-Abortion Care (PAC) services.

Through open discussions and collective commitment, we strengthened partnerships that will help drive meaningful change in our communities. Our Youth Champions are at the heart of this initiative, bringing energy, innovation, and a voice for their peers.

Let us work together to lower teenage pregnancy rates, as recent data shows that 5,498 teenage girls became pregnant in 2025, making it the most burdened district in Malawi. Let's join hands to create a future where young people have access to accurate information, quality healthcare, and the support they need to make informed decisions about their health.

This week, we got the chance to level up. 🙌

We attended a governance training for the central region at Mponela organized by NGO Regulatory Authority - NGORA under the Tilitonse foundation Shifting the Power (StP) program and honestly it came at the good time.

The training brought together board members and management to talk about what it really means to run an organization well: clear leadership, accountability, transparency and staying compliant while still being innovative.

As a youth-focused grassroots organization this kind of learning hits different as we are building something from the ground up and having a strong and functional board is not just a box to tick, it is what keeps us grounded, credible and sustainable organization.

Grateful for this opportunity. The work continues. 💪

On 5th March 2026, we were privileged to present our project progress at the District Executive Committee (DEC) meeting held in the council chamber Nkhotakota District Council, on the project titled “Transition from Caregiver-Care to Self-Care: Optimizing High-Impact Community-Based Approaches Toward Continuum of Care for Adolescents Living with HIV (ALHIV). The project is currently being implemented in TA Mwadzama, Nkhotakota District with support from ViiV Healthcare, where we are working closely with health facilities of Benga and Mtosa to support Adolescents Living with HIV (ALHIV) as they transition from caregiver-supported care to self-care and also advocating for adherence to HIV treatment in order to achieve U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable). During the presentation, we shared the successes, impact, and challenges experienced throughout the implementation of the project.

This is a 2-year project from December 2024 to November 2026 and in the first year of its implementation, the project has achieved a retention rate of 206% and growth rate of 106%.

We remain committed to strengthening adolescent-centered HIV care and ensuring that young people are empowered to manage their health with confidence and dignity.

Did you know now is the perfect time to plant trees? On 13 & 20 Feb 2026, we joined hands with Chitula and Chiwaula Youth Club for our Permaculture project in Nkhotakota ditrict, planting 100 fruit trees and building swales to hold water, prevent soil erosion and help our trees survive for years to come.

This tree planting season let’s come together and plant more trees and build a more resilient future for our community.

We are happy to announce that our permaculture farming project at the Mpamantha site is officially underway! 🌾💚 After a training session, our team, in partnership with Earth Allies Restoration Network (EARN) and Creative Solutions for the Environment (CSE), took to the field to put our learning into action.

We began by observing the community culture, wind patterns, sunlight, and soil structure to determine the best placement for our permaculture elements. Intending to store water and slow down flow, we mapped out contour lines using our handmade A-frames as a team, and our swales came out beautifully! 🌿💪

It is inspiring to see our team, alongside the passionate partner youths from Chutula Youth Club (C*C), working together, hands in the soil, to bring this project to life. We are excited to see the impact this will have on the community! 🙌 "
