Kwathu Breakfast Club We provide breakfast to 100 children. With your help, we will build them a nursery school.

Neuroscience research indicates that preschool education fosters cognitive development and provides an important foundation for future learning. But according to the latest data, pre-school enrolment in sub-Saharan Africa covers only 32% of the age group – corresponding to only 3 out of 10 under 5 children accessing early years centres like nursery schools (UNESCO, 2019). Kwathu Breakfast Club is

a non-profit community group that provides breakfast and education to children living in Sani Village, Nkhotakota, Malawi. Every morning, we serve porridge, sweet potatoes, cassava and tea to 100 children to help start their day. Our mission is to build a nursery school for these children so they have a dedicated space to learn, grow, and develop.
