Go Green Save Environment (GGSE), a local Non-Governmental Organization based at Nkhata-Bay(11.6086° S, 34.2949° E) that is fully dedicated to advocating for all citizen’s responsible behaviour towards the planet that all humanity and all other God’s creation call home

🏃🌿 The Go Green MWI 11KM Charity Run for Education and Hygiene was a great success!

On Saturday, 18th July 2026, Go Green MWI successfully hosted the 11KM Charity Run for Education and Hygiene, bringing together community members in support of education, hygiene, healthy living, and environmental conservation.

Participants ran from Vizara Sawmill to the Nkhata Bay Fisheries Office, demonstrating that every step can contribute to building stronger, healthier, and more sustainable communities.

Thank you to all participants, partners, volunteers, and supporters for making this event a success. Together, we are running for a better future.

On World Environment Day, 5th June 2026, our community took a bold stand for a cleaner, greener future! 🌱

In a powerful demonstration of environmental stewardship, we joined hands with the Nkhata-Bay District Council. And committed stakeholders to carry out a massive community clean-up at Nkhata-Bay District Hospital, turning this year's commemorations into real, visible action on the ground.

Together, we swept, cleared waste, and restored the beauty of our Nkhata-Bay District hospital, because a clean community is a healthy community. Every piece of litter removed is a step toward the future that we deserve. 💚

This initiative is a reminder that environmental protection is everyone's responsibility. When government, communities, and stakeholders unite with one purpose, change happens.

Let's carry this spirit beyond one day - every action counts, every day.

On 21st February 2026, GO-GREEN SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT, MZUZU OMEGA LEOS, and ECO-EVOLVE YOUTH MOVEMENT joined hands at Mzuzu Government Secondary School for a powerful Tree Planting Exercise and Climate Change Awareness Campaign
1,800 trees planted!
Species: Pine & Kesha
Venue: Mzuzu Government Secondary School
The school community warmly welcomed us, and students showed amazing enthusiasm throughout the activity. The day featured a hands-on tree planting demonstration where students learned:
✅ The importance of Pine and Kesha trees in carbon absorption, soil protection, and biodiversity
✅ Proper site preparation (30–40 cm depth for healthy root growth)
✅ Correct seedling planting techniques
✅ Essential tree care practices like watering, mulching, and protection
Students were even encouraged to form Tree Care Clubs to monitor growth and ensure high survival rates — that’s real youth leadership in action! 💚

On 13th February, 2026 Go green attended the One Health Planning Workshop held at Capital Hotel in Lilongwe. The meeting was attended by among others relevant Ministries and Departments, Academia, Development Partners, Civil Society Organisations, among others.

The One Health approach recognises that the health of people, animals, and the environment are interconnected. It promotes collaboration across sectors to prevent diseases, emergencies, improve public health, and strengthen sustainable developments.

Go green remains committed to contributing to integrated solutions that protect communities and build a healthy Malawi.
