NewGen Arise (NGA) is a Youth-led Community Organization in T/A Kalumbu, Nathenje, Lilongwe, investing in the New Generation Arising in the rural communities of Malawi. NewGen Arise exists to see the Children and the Youths raised and empowered to become ChangeMakers in their communities. NGA believes that if the children and the youths are raised in a way that they are provided with all the neces
sities ( education, food, shelter, water, clothes, etc) and given a platform where they can be empowered to actively participate in the community or nation development, they can become great ChangeMakers of their families, communities and the nations. Our goal is to be a ChangeMaking Centered Organization rescuing desperate youth, lost and abandoned children to be a new generation living with hope and purpose to reach their God-given destinies and become ChangeMakers in their communities. Our Mission is caring for and enabling desperate youth, lost and abandoned children to realize their full potential and become ChangeMakers in their communities. Our projects are all aimed at raising and empowering the underresourced children and youths, and they include the following:
1. NGA Clean Water Project; Borehole Drilling Project for the schools and villages in the rural communities as many schools and villages do not have access to clean water
2. NGA Orphans Care Program: providing basic needs; washing and bathing materials ( soap, lotion, Colgate, toothbrush) , food (maize, salt, sugar), clothes and school resources (exercise books, pens, pencils), we enroll these orphans in their appropriate level of school; nursery, primary and secondary.
3. NGA One Pig One Orphan Program; Empowering the orphaned families with pig farming skills as an economic empowerment to them.
4. We give out different gifts(exercise books, pens, drinks etc) to the learners on position one, two and three on the closing day of the school term.
5. NGA Bridge To The Future Project: Secondary Scholarship, partnering with rural community secondary schools to pay for school fees for the needy and deserved students. The selection of these needy students to benefit from our scholarship is both based on his/her need and performance.
5. Computer Literacy/Instruction Program; exposing the Children and the Youth in the rural communities to the computer World as they don't have access to the computer yet computer has become so relevant in this day and age of modern technology.
6. NGA Motivation and Mentorship Project; Empowering the rural Children and Youths with practical knowledge that help in rescuing their future. We mentor them on academic excellence, entrepreneurship, spiritual growth, mental health, etc.
7. NGA Youth Empowerment Through Sports (YES) Program; providing sports materials and training them on different sporting activities. Our Moto is "Raising The New Generation Of ChangeMakers" A New Generation is rising up.
