The journey has been an opportunity for ASUD to explore and appreciate the world beyond their usual surroundings. From the sky and from the ground, we were able to experience the beauty and diversity of places such as Ethiopia, Turkey, and Switzerland. Seeing these countries, meeting different people, and experiencing different cultures have enriched our journey and have given us fresh perspectives that have gone beyond the professional exchange. The combination of learning, partnership, travel, and world exploration have made our experience truly meaningful and memorable. We indeed flew from Malawi to Ethiopia, then we flew to Istanbul in Turkey before arrivng Basal in Switzerland.

For ASUD, the journey to Switzerland is much more than a celebration or an opportunity to travel. It is a meaningful investment in development and a chance to gain knowledge, build partnerships, and explore approaches that can contribute to Malawi’s development aspirations. The experiences and lessons gained through the trip will serve as a valuable tool as ASUD continues to contribute to the achievement of Malawi’s Vision 2063 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By connecting with partners, learning from different contexts, and bringing new ideas back home, ASUD hopes to translate this experience into practical actions that can create lasting and positive change in Malawi. We thank EcoSolidar for considering us to attend this wonderful event.
