Hello everyone

Its good to be back! Today we were at Lupaso CCAP Secondary School for a gender based violence awareness and mentorship session under the theme unite to end digital gender based violence in Malawi.

16 days of activism against gender based violence is upon us and we have stated by equipping our mentee’s . A huge thank you to our speakers and participants. Remember the key take aways: Speak up, support survivors, and stay connected. See you at our next event

Today we took part in a tree planting exercise organized by Mzuzu city youth network at Mzuzu CCAP primary. Planting trees is a simple yet powerful way to give back to nature and future generations. As a way of concluding the 16 days of activism against gender based violence, we conducted an open discussion with youths from Kavibale. This discussion aimed at giving a deeper understanding of GBV to young people . This was a safe space where experiences were shared and practical solutions were offered to those in need.

Let’s keep the momentum going beyond the 16 days. Every voice matters. Every action counts. Together, we can break the cycle of violence and build a world where everyone lives free from fear and harm.

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign that runs from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day). This period is dedicated to raising awareness about gender-based violence, advocating for the rights of survivors, and calling for global action to end violence against women and girls.
Join us this Saturday from 8AM in Mzuzu as we march to take a stand against gender based violence on women and girls.
