Phase 2 is coming. But first, let's talk about what Phase 1 built.

Over the past months, the ASELD Project has been working with passionate entrepreneurs across Malawi to build climate-smart, resilient agribusinesses from the ground up. The results speak for themselves.

Now, 7 climate-smart enterprises have earned their place at the results-based financing stage and we're just getting started.

23 passionate entrepreneurs are now pitching their businesses, building connections and writing the next chapter of sustainable growth in Malawi as they boldly present solutions to a room full of partners and peers.

The pitches are live at Nxt Gen Labs, Lilongwe as part of the Advancing Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Livelihoods Development project in partnership with German Development Cooperation through the GIZ MIERA III program.

These are not just businesses. They are local and innovative solutions built by Malawians to address climate shocks, build resilient livelihoods and adapt to a changing environment.

Behind every great pitch is a room full of honest feedback and relentless refinement.

Today, 23 enterprises are here at NXT Gen Labs for a Pitch Clinic. This is a space to sharpen decks, strengthen delivery and learn from each other before the big moment arrives tomorrow.

As part of the Advancing Sustainable Entrepreneurship & Livelihoods Development Project, implemented by Emerge Livelihoods in partnership with German Development Cooperation through the GIZ MIERA III programme, these founders aren't just building businesses, they're building sustainable futures and addressing climate adaptation mechanisms.

This week, Emerge Livelihoods paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed Executive Director of the National Youth Council of Malawi Mrs Rhoda Gadama Misomali, reaffirming our commitment as both a strategic partner and an affiliate.

Represented by Programs Director Jonathan Nandolo and Team Lead for Communication and Marketing, Litness Chaima, the engagement emphasized our shared vision and aligned goals in advancing youth development across Malawi.

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, deepen our working relationship, and explore pathways for greater impact.

At the heart of this engagement is our continued dedication to empowering young people through innovative and transformative solutions.

🔥 ASELD is transforming my venture into a Climate Smart Renewable Energy Enterprise, replacing charcoal with briquettes to save 196M trees/year and build drought/flood-proof systems, whilst tapping into a MK1.6T/year market!
🚀 This program is also evolving me from founder to CEO, equipped to lead Malawi’s carbon-negative energy transition.
