TEMPORARY DATA COLLECTORS – VOLUNTEERS

Girl Engineer is recruiting Temporary Volunteer Data Collectors for a Rural WASH Improvement Project in Machinga Rural.

Gain hands-on field experience in community data collection and be part of making real impact in rural communities through data-driven development projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct household interviews using a structured questionnaire.
- Collect accurate data using KoboCollect.
- Obtain informed consent and maintain confidentiality.
- Submit completed questionnaires on time.

Requirements
- Resident of Machinga Rural.
- MSCE or higher.
- Must own an Android smartphone (KoboCollect).
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in data collection is an added advantage.

Support Provided
- Only lunch allowance during fieldwork.
- Certificate of participation.

Girl Engineer is excited to announce the launch of the "Empower Girls in Malawi to Build Farming Apps" project.

This project connects STEM education with sustainable farming by enabling girls to create practical digital solutions for their families and communities. Through the project, girls aged 13–15 will learn to develop a simple mobile App that provides easy-to-understand guidance on sustainable farming practices, helping households improve productivity while protecting the environment and combating desertification.

Farming parents are expected to readily adopt the App since it is developed by their own children, fostering pride, trust, and community acceptance.
