YICEA today

On 4 January, 2025 YICEA Organisation distributed 2 bags of fertilizer (NPK & UREA), Maize seeds-SC665, and Soya bean seeds SC serenadi to Thandeka primary school which is meant for school feeding under the project called school feeding program funded by Ulalo.

Receiving items from the YICEA executive director were Elunyeni primary education advisor (PEA) Mr Ndirekereni Mwanza and Mulumuzana (GVH) Thandeka Soko.

In his words , the GVH thanked YICEA for providing the much needed support which will not only allow children to attend school regularly but also improve nutrition status.In his speech the PEA commended the organisation for choosing Thandeka because it has been neglected for so long.

The committee pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the crops are planted in time. The most encouraging news from the engagement was that the school maize field of almost 1.5 acres is already in place and ready for planting.Thirten (Female 4,Male 9) participants from different school based committee which includes mother group, School management committee (SMC) and Parents teacher association (PTA), traditional structures (Village Development Committee) and stakeholders (PEA) attended the meeting.

Cerblation of Christmas with elders

]We are thrilled to share that our Elders' Christmas Celebration held on December 25, 2024, in Elunyeni was a resounding success!

The event brought together members of our community to spread love, joy, and cheer to our elderly neighbors. We are grateful for the support of our donors Mary Young and Nigel and volunteers and who made this event possible.

The smiles on the faces of our elderly friends said it all - they felt seen, loved, and appreciated. We are honored to have been a part of their special day.
