COHO was privileged to attend the Day of an African Child at Matete primary school at Traditional Authority Fukamapiri in Nkhatabay district. The occasion was Graced by the minister of Gender, and Disability and Social Welfare, Hon. Mary Navitcha. This year's theme, " ensuring universal access to water, sanitation and hygiene for every child in Malawi" couldn't come at a right time as Malawi is is trying to provide an opportunity for every child to thrive including the girl child.

We are thankful to our donor Firelight foundation for making this trip a reality.

Today we were thrilled to join our community members at Manyangala and Shuga in mbeya making fertilizer as they prepare for maize growing season

Today, our board of trustees, had a second quarterly board meeting virtually. Some of the issues discussed include: Second Quarterly implementation report, Organizational Sustainability, Community Foundations, NGORA registration and compliance.

A functional board is key to organizational success. We thank all our board members for the commitments towards COHO.

We were thrilled to attend a Community Foundation meeting organized by our partner Mudzi Connect which took place from 28th to 29th June, 2026. Through this meeting, Mudzi Connect availed their plans for the next three years (2026-2028) and asked the Community Foundations about their commitments on the new plans. The meeting attracted 10 Community Foundations across Malawi and also Jeremy from South Africa.
