Today we also joined the project implementation committee for the construction of the under-five shelter at Chisitu health center. The committee revised the budget from government officials who have also pledged 38 timbers through Mulanje District Hospital. They also conducted interviews for the builder. Kudos for this committee and the efforts they are making.

Today we had an opportunity to brief the Mulanje district council officials, Senior Chief Chikumbu and other community representatives on how we will be implementing our new programs through regranting. For, this reason, the group has selected an Implementation committee for the Under-five shelter at Chisitu clinic to be started soon.

Today, we had a privilege of visiting pig farming committee members in Group Village Mmina, T/A Chikumbu,who are responsible for pig pass on and monitoring.

It was encouraging to note that since 2023, local farmers have been benefitting from the initiative like selling piglets to support their children and families. They have also been getting manure which they use in their farms.

So far over 100 piglets have been passed on to new members since 2023.
