“This weekend we had another fruitful meeting where we discussed the role of young people in rejecting being used as perpetrators of violence during elections. We also talked about preparing for school as the new week begins tomorrow. Malawi will go to the polls on 16th September 2025 to elect councillors, Members of Parliament, and the President for the second time.

Setting career goals in the digital era

Exploring savings initiatives through village savings groups

4. Discussions & Resolutions

a) Career Goals & Digital Transformation

Members discussed the importance of setting clear career goals.

Emphasis was placed on how the world is moving into a digital era.

Members agreed that it is vital to take advantage of digital platforms and acquire skills in using AI tools.

b) Village Savings Groups

Plans were made to visit local village savings groups, including FINCA and Vision Fund Malawi.

The purpose of these visits is to learn more about savings culture and financial literacy.

5. Way Forward

Continue exploring digital opportunities for youth development.

Organise visits to village savings groups in the coming weeks.
