Soon, they will embark on another economic empowerment intervention aimed at diversifying their income sources and strengthening their livelihoods. We are proud to walk alongside them, with support from Embassy of Iceland in Lilongwe.

Held under the theme “Accelerating Progress: Reflecting on Impact, Expanding Prospects for Youth Development in Malawi,” the summit is a space for reflection, dialogue and action on the issues shaping young people’s futures. 🩸🩸To commemorate 2026 World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we held an interactive sensitization session at Masuku CDSS with our Safe Space Mentees.🩸🩸

We were joined by Youth Friendly Health Services providers from Mangochi DHO, who educated students on menstruation, menstrual hygiene, and the importance of breaking period stigma and taboos. What stood out most was the active participation of the male students; they asked thoughtful questions and showed willingness to learn how they can support female students and help create a more period-friendly environment for all. The session also provided an opportunity to raise awareness on SRHR issues and promote access to Youth Friendly Health Services among young people.💪🏽🩸
