Catherine Chipembere, came from a poor family. Her parents saved every penny they had to send her to secondary school in Malawi. They knew attending school was a way she would live a better life. When Catherine was in secondary school she had a vision that one day she would impart her knowledge and skills to other women so they could also have good livelihood. Chipembere stayed in the United State

s of America for 31 years as a refugee. In 1994, she surprised her children when she said “I am going back home to Malawi to do missionary work.” Since then, she has devoted her life to saving lives in Malawi.
