As a founder, I’m moved by the powerful moment captured in this photo—a young girl who once had to leave school, now stands on the brink of a new beginning. Here’s a heartfelt story inspired by her journey:
Lute Nkhoma was a bright‑eyed girl with dreams of becoming a teacher, but life threw a heavy burden on her family. When her parents could no longer afford school fees, she was forced to drop out and help at home. Years passed, and the spark of learning dimmed, yet the hope in her heart never faded. She watched her peers graduate while she tended the family’s small market stall, dreaming of the day she could reopen her own book of knowledge.
Today, as the founder of Felistus Gazamiyala Foundation, I witnessed a turning point. In the photo, I stand with an orange box of school supplies, ready to hand them to Lute, while her mother looks on with pride and anticipation.
Tomorrow, we will es**rt Lute back to the school gates she left so long ago. The moment will be more than a return to classrooms; it will be the revival of her aspirations, the fulfillment of a promise that education is a right, not a privilege.
We are not just giving her books and uniforms—we are restoring her confidence, reigniting her ambition, and reminding her community that no dream is ever truly lost.
As she steps back into the schoolyard, we hope she will write her own future, one lesson at a time, and inspire others who have faced similar setbacks.
