Malawi Volunteer Organisation MVO is the leading Malawian charity operating in the world's poorest country. It is based in the Monk MVO is incorporated as a non profit organisation in Malawi.

The founder and CEO, Francis Njanje, has worked in the tourism and volunteer segment of the economy for the last sixteen years. Through Francis's association with other organisations he realised the need to establish a Malawi based volunteer placement organisation that has a greater understanding of local needs. Realising that MVO would also need to cater to its volunteers, they chose to act in a

very personal manner to give the volunteer a greater control over their voluntary work in Malawi. For Francis and his fellow employees, it has been a real pleasure to meet so many fantastic volunteers from all over the world, to see the work they do truly benefit Malawi, and to see them grow and learn throughout their experience. To date over 1500 volunteers have worked with MVO, and we sincerely hope you will also consider coming to join our friendly team here, and seeing all the beauty, friendship and happiness that Malawi has to offer.
