The Malawi electoral Commission (MEC) on 18th July 2025 engaged CSOs from the central region in an attempt to update them on the preparation for the upcoming Tri-partite elections on 16 September, 2025. Speaking after a few presentations and plenary session where the CSOs laid down their concerns and comments, the MEC Chairperson, Annabel Mtalimanja, SC, said the reason for engaging the CSOs is that, MEC wants the CSOs to assist in Civic and voter education to ensure voter participation and also the CSOs should counter misinformation and disinformation to minimise fake news....
