In Dedza District, Maneri Mlangeni is already seeing the difference. With support from Youth Initiative for Community Development (YICOD), women in her group multiplied and shared orange-fleshed sweet potato vines, turning one input into many.

Now her field is thriving. In a few weeks, the harvest will be ready for both food and income. She is also using what she learned locally to make her own manure, cutting costs and improving her maize yields.

Steven Yohane, a member of Tikondane Youth Club, is transforming his livelihood through opportunity and determination.

With support from YICOD and IM Swedish Development Partner, access to seeds, savings groups, and business training helped him move from subsistence farming into small business.

Today, he is investing, growing, and planning ahead.

A strong example of how youth-led initiatives and the right support can unlock sustainable change.
