(Shaping, Helping and Empowering) Diamonds in the Rough is a newly established non-profit organization based in Lilongwe, Malawi, Africa. It was founded in January of 2015 by 2 individuals; Kaliah Crouch-Madzi and Chikondi Kapote and more broadly consist of a group of 10 young women with a genuine will to give back to the community. Foundation aims to help change and enrich lives of disadvantaged
adolescents in by providing a solid foundation to support their growth; through companionship, leadership, guidance and care through the Diamonds in the Rough and Brawn and Brains Program. Our Main Service is providing guidance and companionship in the lives of disadvantaged adolescents
Our goal is to lessen the number of adolescents that end up dropping out of school, married and/or pregnant, in the streets, in gangs, prostituting or on drugs. As a result we want to see more girls and boys who are a product of our programs healthy, successful, and self sufficient.
