MID-WEEK CHECK-IN
on the Training of Trainers on Comprehensive Sexuality Education we have highlighted the importance of participatory and trauma-informed learning approaches in delivering effective CSE. These approaches ensure that contextual realities and learner sensitivities are properly addressed.

Bringing together representatives from health, education, and CSOs enriched the training with diverse perspectives, technical expertise, and practical insights on implementation challenges. The collaborative engagement between lead facilitators and participants further strengthened the development of inclusive and responsive CSE materials and methodologies.

The UNDP Malawi Orientation and Capacity-Building Session for Implementing Partners has successfully come to an end.

Over the past days, we joined fellow stakeholders from the judiciary, Legal Aid Bureau, Law Commission, and Civil Society Organizations in strengthening our knowledge and skills in project implementation, financial management, compliance, safeguarding, gender mainstreaming, monitoring and reporting, risk management, communications and data management.

The sessions provided valuable insights into UNDP's Governance Portfolio, human rights, rule of law, accountability, Branding guidelines and sustainable development programming.

We extend our sincere appreciation to UNDP Malawi for creating this important learning and collaboration platform. The knowledge gained will help strengthen our ability to deliver impactful, accountable, and sustainable interventions that improve the lives of the communities we serve.

CYECE, in partnership with UNESCO and MUBAS, has commenced a 5-day National Training of Trainers on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in Mponela.

The training is equipping 32 district-level stakeholders from Youth, Education, Health, Gender Offices and Civil Society Organizations with skills to effectively deliver, facilitate, and monitor CSE and SRHR interventions. It also supports the rollout of a newly developed CSE Training Manual designed to strengthen evidence-based and age-appropriate programming for adolescents and young people in Malawi.

Today, We have joined a UNDP Malawi Orientation and Capacity-Building Session for Implementing Partners. The training has brought together key stakeholders from the judiciary, Legal Aid Bureau, Law Commission, and Civil Society Organizations to strengthen knowledge and skills in project implementation, financial management, compliance, safeguarding, gender mainstreaming, monitoring, reporting, risk management, and data management.

The first day introducing participants to UNDP’s Governance Portfolio, with discussions focusing on Oversight Mechanisms, Human Rights, Rule of Law, and national development priorities. The programme continues through Wednesday as partners build their capacity to deliver impactful, accountable, and sustainable development interventions.
