A day of inspiration in Mwenda! 🙌

We had the incredible privilege of hosting a role model session for our G4G groups—featuring powerful encouragement from local primary teachers, a journalist, and one of our very own G4G beneficiaries.

They spoke from the heart—reminding the boys and girls to work hard, dream big, and most importantly, to put God first. Because true success begins with Him. 🙏

Our groups were also encouraged to stay disciplined, smart, and focused—because they are the future role models of their communities.

We are appreciative for these voices of hope who are planting seeds of courage and purpose in the next generation. 🌱

The 2025 maize collection for the Village Grain Bank has begun, and with it comes a season full of blessings and hard work in Lilongwe! 💪✨ In the past few weeks, we’ve seen:

🌽 71 maize bags collected for the Village Grain Bank
đźšś Water pumps distributed to our newly recruited SIFA farmers
🌱 The launch of a vibrant G4G demonstration garden
👩🏽‍🍼 VS&L training sessions empowering teen mothers
đź“– Bibles shared to nourish both body and soul

Meanwhile, the various projects in Mwenda are moving forward steadily. It’s always inspiring to witness the impact and dedication in action. Huge congratulations to all our project officers and beneficiaries — your hard work is making a real difference! 👏

Cherishing and protecting this earth as stewards is an important value to teach the younger generations. And something to remember this Earth Day and always is that creation is not simply a gift. It’s a responsibility. We are to care for the world around us with love and reverence.

Recently, Goats for Girls in Lilongwe spent the day in Mwenda 2, cleaning up different areas such as the primary school, the market, and some compounds of elderly members in the community.

After cleaning up the different areas and offering practical support for the elderly, the beneficiaries spent some time with them, sharing the Word of God and uplifting their spirits. An appreciation for elders and the stories and wisdom they hold is also important to remember.

Let us raise up children who do not simply honor creation one day a year, but daily walk in the calling to tend and keep the earth. 🌏

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, courage, and value of women in Malawi, Nigeria, and around the world. 🙏

Goats for Girls would like to recognize the incredible women in our communities who face challenges with unwavering faith and resilience. 👏

We continue to be inspired by the women and girls in the program, committed to empowering themselves, their families, and others for a brighter tomorrow. Together, we strive to create a future where every woman can thrive, contribute, and live with hope. 🌍

Today, may we reflect on the words of Proverbs 31:25, “Strength and honour are her clothing; And she shall rejoice in time to come.” ❤️

We received an exciting update from Lonjezo that the translated book, 'The Miracles of Jesus', was handed out to some of the G4G groups in Lilongwe! đź“–

This book was translated from English into Chichewa and is one of the translation projects G4G has participated in. Translating literature is important so we can continue to grant to our beneficiaries, young and old, Christian literature. Translating Christian literature, especially for the younger members, is one of the many projects G4G involves itself with.

We would like to wish a very heartfelt thank you to all those who came out to our fundraiser on Saturday night despite the snowstorm! We were so encouraged to see so many supportive faces who wanted to hear about our projects in Nigeria and Malawi. We raised about $11,000 in total, and we cannot be more grateful for this generous support. From our board (missing 2 members in the picture) to all who support us, thank you. ❤️

Today is , a day where we are encouraged to give to those in need after celebrating the plenty that we have. Although monetary gifts are always appreciated and sought after by many charities worldwide, we often underestimate the gift of prayer for the troubles that these organizations and their beneficiaries face. G4G in particular has several prayer requests for the coming year. Please join us in praying for peace and political stability in Nigeria and for the safety and wellbeing of our friends and beneficiaries there. Please pray for a good growing season in Malawi, that the rains will be plentiful and the harvest will be good. Please pray for our G4G managers, Kelechi, Lonjezo, and Tadala, as they carry on their work in the coming year. Please also pray for our G4G Canadian board of directors, as we have many decisions to make with regard to next year’s projects. With love and thanks, the G4G Family ❤️🙏

Meet Kelechi, our lovely project manager in Nigeria! Kelechi has been working with G4G for a few years and has shown herself to be a dedicated and enthusiastic employee. Kelechi runs several goat pass-on groups of girls, and supervises a group of young boys who (with G4G’s help) run a piggery. As a mother of two young children herself, Kelechi showers the boys and girls under her care with love and compassion, and ensures that they attend meetings and receive instruction from God’s Word. We are so blessed to have her on the G4G team!!
