Today our team is in Lilongwe at Ufulu Gardens joining 150+ leaders from government, CSOs, business, and academia for the Umunthu Social Dialogue
The focus: strengthening Malawi’s social impact ecosystem so solutions last beyond projects and funding cycles.
Convened by Thrive Afrika under the theme; "Strengthening Malawi's Social Impact Ecosystem for a Resilient and Self-Sustaining Future"

The event was graced by the Minister of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare Mary Navitcha;

In her remarks, the Minister underscored a shared reality: global development financing is shifting, and Malawi's social impact sector must respond with stronger local ownership, resilient institutions, and solutions that do not depend solely on donor support.

For us at Healthwise, it’s a chance to learn, connect, and contribute ideas on community-led, sustainable health solutions.

Healthwise Organization is thrilled to officially partner with Oxfam in Malawi on the CHOICE Project 💪
Comprehensive Health Options through Innovative Community Engagement is a 7-year project running from Feb 2025 - Mar 2032, and it is led by OXFAM and funded by Global Affairs Canada.

Yesterday, our team joined other partners at the Oxfam country office in Area 13 for an energizing orientation on the project + Safeguarding Policy and a Capacity Needs Assessment.

CHOICE project is being implemented in Lilongwe: TA Chimutu & Malili while in Balaka: TA Amidu & Kalembo.
