Our Njewa women’s groups continue to shine as they grow in knowledge, confidence, and skill at Shalom Permaculture Farms in Malawi. On this particular day, the women were busy planting a variety of vegetables they started in the nursery just a few weeks ago — a beautiful picture of growth, dedication, and transformation in action. 🌱✨

Through hands-on training in organic and sustainable farming, these women are gaining practical skills that directly improve food security, nutrition, and income generation for their households and communities.

This practical, on-the-ground approach is more than just farming — it’s empowerment. As they cultivate their own section of the farm, they are turning knowledge into action and action into lasting impact.

Together, we are building a future where women lead the way in creating thriving, resilient communities. 💪🏽🌾❤️

🌸 Women in Action at Shalom Farms! 🌸

This week, our amazing Njewa Women’s Group under the Women of Purpose Foundation in Malawi took center stage as they welcomed 40 Environmental students from Lilongwe University of Agriculture – NRC (LUANAR)! 🎓✨

👩🏽‍🍳 From baking delicious homemade scones to serving our signature hibiscus beverage, the women worked together with joy, teamwork, and excellence — showcasing what community empowerment truly looks like. 💪🏽💖

We had the pleasure of hosting 46 students, their lecturer, and bus driver from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture – Natural Resources College (NRC). 🎓🚌

Our guests felt so welcomed, enjoyed our delicious signature hibiscus juice and freshly baked scones, and were inspired by the women’s warm hospitality and teamwork. 💕🙌🏽

🌸 A Beautiful Day at Shalom Farms! 🌸

Yesterday, our sisters from the women’s groups did an amazing job supporting the event at Shalom Permaculture Farms in Malawi by preparing our signature hibiscus juice and freshly baked scones for our guests. 💕

We had the pleasure of hosting 46 students, their lecturer, and the bus driver from the University of Malawi – Natural Resources College (NRC). The group felt so welcomed and truly enjoyed their visit!

Thank you to all the ladies who served with excellence, joy, and teamwork. Your efforts made the day special and left a lasting impression on our visitors. 🌿👏🏽

🌱✨ Empowering Women Through Skills Training! ✨🌱

This week, our women’s group participated in a Tomato Drying Training 🍅☀️. Together, they learned how to:

1️⃣ Clean fresh tomatoes
2️⃣ Slice them into pieces
3️⃣ Place them carefully in the solar dryer

These practical skills will help reduce waste, preserve food during harvest seasons, and create new opportunities for income through dried tomato products. 💪🏾

Stay tuned for Part 2 of the training next week when the tomatoes are fully dry—we can’t wait to share the results with you! 🙌🏾✨

🎉 Celebrating Success at Njewa Village! 🎉

Today, we’re overflowing with joy and gratitude as we celebrate the incredible achievements of our four women’s groups in Njewa village through the Village Savings and Loans (VSL) program. 🙌🏽💰

Over the past 7 months, these determined and hardworking women have collectively banked nearly MK5,000,000! 💪🏾🔥

Today marked their share-out event, and the smiles and excitement were truly heartwarming. Each woman received her share—proof that discipline, unity, and commitment truly pay off.

As they now begin their second cycle of saving and investing, the women are filled with hope and are already looking forward to their next share-out at the end of the year! 🌱✨
