On Sabbath, 28th March 2026, the Divine Service at Kawale SDA Church was filled with a special kind of joy and spiritual excitement. It was a day that many had been praying and preparing for—a day of investiture, dedication, and commitment to God’s service.
As the church filled with members, visitors, and families, a spirit of unity and celebration could be felt in every corner. The choir’s melodies set the tone, and the congregation joined in heartfelt worship, knowing that something meaningful was about to take place.
At the appointed time, twelve individuals were called forward for investiture. Among them were two Master Guides and Ten Senior Youth Leaders (SYLs). Dressed neatly and standing with confidence, they represented not only themselves but the future of youth ministry in the church.
The two Master Guides stood as symbols of leadership, discipline, and mentorship. Their journey had not been easy—they had gone through training, challenges, and spiritual growth—but this moment marked the reward of their perseverance. They were now ready to guide, teach, and inspire others.
The ten SYLs, full of energy and passion, were equally committed. Each one had a heart for service—working with young people, organizing programs, and strengthening the spiritual lives of those around them. Their presence reflected hope and continuity in the mission of the church.
Just when the congregation thought the moment could not get more special, an unexpected highlight added even greater meaning to the day. A First Elder from Kamuzu Barracks SDA Church was also investitured. This made the occasion even more remarkable, as it showed unity beyond one local church—a shared mission and commitment across congregations.
The presence and investiture of the elder reminded everyone that service to God has no boundaries. Whether young or experienced, each person is called to serve faithfully wherever they are.
As the pastor delivered the charge, he reminded all the candidates that investiture is not just about receiving a title—it is about living a life of dedication, humility, and obedience to God. The congregation listened attentively, offering silent prayers for those being commissioned.
By the end of the service, it was clear that this was more than just a ceremony—it was a powerful testimony of growth, commitment, and unity in Christ. The ten investitured members, together with the First Elder from Kamuzu Barracks SDA Church, stood as living examples of God’s calling.
And as the congregation dispersed, one thing remained in everyone’s heart: this was a day to remember—a day when lives were dedicated a new, and the work of God was strengthened through willing and faithful servants.
