This is the tangible impact of partnership in action. Through the support of the Føroya Skótaráð Scouts from the Faroe Islands, we are expanding entrepreneurship training to Scout Groups across Malawi, enabling young people to sustain Scouting activities and lead community projects.

Scout leaders are the heart and core of growing our Scouting movement in Malawi. They are the ones who guide, mentor, and inspire the next generation. We believe that the skills we impart in young people must be put to use day in, day out, not just in camps and meetings, but in their schools, communities, and daily lives.

Young leaders have a special role to play. They are called to take initiative, to build bridges, and to form partnerships that will amplify the impact of grassroots scouting in our country. Today, as an association, we are super excited to celebrate a major achievement, Edward Nyamz and his team have secured a partnership with the Føroya Skótaráð from farosea Islands. The aim of this partnership is to impart essential entrepreneurship skills in scouts group so that they are able to support their scouting activities and amplify their community work. ⚜️🇲🇼 🇫🇴 This is a great milestone for Scouting in Malawi, and we are delighted to already see positive results coming from it. This is exactly what we expect from young leaders, the courage to go beyond their comfort zone, to seek out opportunities, and to create platforms where young people can truly enjoy and benefit from Scouting.

We extend our huge thanks to the Føroya Scouts for believing in young people in Malawi, for investing in their potential, and for extending such a generous heart to boost the Scouting movement in Malawi. 🥬⚜️🇲🇼 When young people roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and bring something tangible to the table, they prove just how relevant and powerful they can be in today’s society. The Food for Life initiative is a perfect example of this in action in Mulanje. In this garden, young people are working together to grow a variety of vegetables. The produce first goes to feeding their own families, ensuring household food security. The surplus is then sold locally, creating a small source of income and making nutritious food more available in the community.

This is the true beauty of Scouting. It creates a platform that directly instills practical, life relevant skills in young people. It keeps them productively engaged, rooted in their communities, and positions them at the forefront of tackling real challenges like food insecurity, right where they live.🇲🇼🔥

Scouts in Thyolo are hosting an incredible camp from 2nd to 6th September 2026 at Mlenga Secondary School under the powerful theme: "Growing Grassroots Scouting for a Better Malawi."

Get ready for 5 days packed with impactful scouting activities designed to challenge you, build you, and connect you. You can look forward to a Thyolo Mountain expedition where you’ll test your endurance and enjoy breathtaking views, a Skills for Life Hub to learn practical skills you can use every day, and a Mega Campfire Night filled with stories, songs, and memories under the stars. There will also be patrol challenges and competitions focused on teamwork, leadership, and fun, plus sessions on basic scouting skills to sharpen the fundamentals every scout should know. Most importantly, there will be a mental health and wellbeing session under the Messengers of Peace initiative, because strong minds build strong communities.

This is the place you need to be to grow, learn, and make lifelong friends.

🔥⚜️🇲🇼 Our mooters have successfully arrived at Arrowe Park in Benoni, Johannesburg, Gauteng for the 2nd Africa Rover Moot, and proudly took part in the opening ceremony. It is a moment of great pride for us to see our national flag flying high on such an international platform. This achievement reminds us why we do what we do, and it inspires us to continue promoting Scouting values and taking our movement beyond our borders.

To our mooters, embrace this opportunity fully. Go out, roll in, engage with fellow Rovers from across Africa and beyond, and make a good noise. May you create lasting memories, build lifelong friendships, and return home with experiences that will inspire others to join the journey.
