In 2016, as service learning at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMU) deepened, a team traveled to Malawi, Africa, and in addition to the Physical Therapy Doctoral students from RMU who joined us for their third year in a row, we were privileged to have Physician Assistant students and nursing students from Ameritech. They all helped work on the school project as well as spend p
rofessional time in local rehabilitation and medical settings in Blantyre and Lilongwe. This year, 2017, the excitement grows and marks a couple of important milestones: This marks the 30th year that non-profit founders and RMU President, Rick Nielsen (Ranger) and his wife Jodi head to Africa to continue to Make a World of Difference. As the mission of service for World of Difference refines, we are proud to partner with EcoBuild Malawi and together support the development of a model school in the village of Kapudzama outside of the capital of Lilongwe. This model school will support sustainability education and ecological awareness. We are grateful to all who have supported us in the past and look forward to building new and lasting friendships!
