EVERY JOURNEY HAS AN END! 🙏🌍

The journey that began on 19th July 2026 with the National Launch of Preparation Activities for World Mission Sunday at Katete Parish is now approaching its beautiful conclusion!

This coming Saturday, 31st October 2026, we will gather at Katete Parish, Diocese of Mzuzu, to celebrate the National Closing of World Mission Month and the Month of the Holy Rosary.

It has been a journey of faith, prayer, unity, and missionary commitment. As we come together to mark the end of this special journey, let us renew our dedication to Christ and continue spreading His love wherever we are.

✨ All the faithful are warmly invited! ✨

Come, let us celebrate our faith, give thanks to God for the journey we have travelled together, and recommit ourselves to the mission of Christ.

📢 2027 EPIPHANY SUNDAY: CHILDREN’S MISSIONARY CELEBRATION

Theme: “Children, the Love of Christ Sends Us Forth” (2 Corinthians 5:14)

The National Office of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Malawi is pleased to announce that the 2027 Epiphany Sunday Celebration, promoted by the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood, will take place on Sunday, 3 January 2027.

Preparations and launching activities will begin in November 2026, with national and diocesan launching celebrations as indicated on the posters.

It is now time to give children the opportunity to actively participate in missionary work in our respective parishes. Children are not only the future of the Church; they are also missionaries today, called to pray, share, serve and show love to other children, especially those in need.

Our theme, “Children, the Love of Christ Sends Us Forth,” reminds us that Christ’s love inspires and motivates children to become missionary disciples. As Saint Paul teaches us in 2 Corinthians 5:14, “For the love of Christ impels us” (NAB).

Let us encourage children in every parish to embrace their missionary vocation through prayer, acts of charity, solidarity and active participation in the activities of the Pontifical Society of the Holy Childhood.

May the love of Christ inspire our children to go forth and bring His love to others, becoming joyful witnesses of the Gospel in their families, schools, parishes and communities.

Today, 22 October, as we celebrate the Memorial of St John Paul II, Patron Saint of Laity Day in Malawi, the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Malawi wishes all the lay faithful a joyful and blessed First Anniversary of Laity Day in Malawi!

As you prepare for your respective diocesan Laity Day celebrations this coming Saturday, may St John Paul II intercede for you and inspire you to remain rooted in Christ, called to holiness, and committed to the mission of the Church.
