WE DON’T JUST TRAIN CHAMPIONS. WE MULTIPLY THEM. Today two champions from T/A Lukwa went out to teach their fellow girls how to make MBEYA fertilizer in T/A Kaphaizi, and that right there is why this work matters. When a girl learns a skill, her world changes. But when a champion turns around and shares that skill, entire communities change. Knowledge stops being information locked in one classroom and becomes action in backyards, farms, and homes. It means less dependence, better yields, healthier soil, and more income staying with the women who grow our food. It means girls seeing other girls lead, and believing “I can do that too.” This is the ripple effect we believe in at . Train one champion, reach ten, feed a village. Because real impact isn’t measured by how much we teach, but by how far what we teach travels after we leave the room.

Did you know? Plastic kills goats.
Not with speed. With silence.
They eat it thinking it’s food, and it fills their stomachs until nothing else can.
This Monday, let’s choose food for them, not death.
Refuse single-use plastic.

Imagine your child playing here. Imagine rainwater flowing through these drains. Imagine our town 10 years from now.
All of this is plastic waste we used once and threw away.
Plastic doesn’t vanish when we toss it. It stays. It piles up. It becomes our future.
This month we are saying no to plastic pollution.
Imagine a cleaner town. Then help build it.
Refuse single-use plastic. Reuse a bag. Protect our home.

This month we are saying no to plastic waste. Awareness starts with you. Keep plastic out of our drains, farms and future.
Harmful habits like dumping plastic in gutters and burning it give us blocked drains, floods, disease, and poor harvests.
Keeping our city clean is our responsibility. As a community we can: refuse single-use plastic, reuse what we have, and bin waste properly. The city we protect is the home we share.

Today we mark Menstrual Hygiene Day. Every girl and woman deserves access to safe menstrual products, clean water, private sanitation, and accurate information. Periods are normal, stigma isn’t. Let’s break the silence, end the stigma, and support dignity, health, and education for all.

T/A Mwase was buzzing!!

Our participants got hands-on learning how to make organic fertilizer mbeya, and the energy was all smiles and “aha” moments. Mixing, learning, laughing, and realizing how much they can make right at home with materials around them.

This is very important for all our participants as mbeya builds healthier soil that holds water and nutrients better. That means stronger crops, lower costs, and real savings for everyone whether you’re irrigating or farming with rainfall.

And here’s the kicker: with just one bag of NPK or UREA*, they can make 5 bags of mbeya. With fertilizer prices where they are, that’s a massive cost saver. Even better, a few of them are already talking about making extra to sell and earn on the side.

You could see it on their faces proud, curious, and ready to try it back on their own land.

Today we kicked off our irrigation training and the energy is good

We are running 2 groups and kept today to theory so everyone gets the basics right before we move to the field. We started by looking at soil types, crops, and water sources because you can’t choose a good irrigation system if you don’t know what you’re working with. Match the system to the soil and crop, and you save water while getting stronger growth.

From there we went through the 3 main systems: surface, sprinkler, and drip. We talked through how each one works, where it makes sense, and the real advantages and disadvantages you will actually face on the farm. The goal is simple: pick the system that fits your land and your water, not just what looks good on paper.

We also set the ground rules for how an irrigation group should work. Clear roles, clear communication, and everyone accountable. When the group runs well, the system runs well.

This is about giving everyone the know-how to make smarter choices and get better results with less waste. Next step is putting all of this into practice on the ground.
