On this special day, Amahoro Drummers extends our heartfelt birthday wishes to Your Excellency. We wish you good health, strength, and God's abundant blessings.
We remain sincerely grateful to the Government of Malawi for the trust and support shown to our group over the years. Although we are refugees, we have consistently been granted permission to perform beyond Dzaleka Refugee Camp whenever officially invited to government and national events.

One of our proudest moments was performing at the State House of Malawi during the "Our People, Our Pride" celebration, where we shared the stage with renowned African artists including Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and Skeffa Chimoto. That experience remains a lasting symbol of Malawi's commitment to cultural diversity and inclusion.

LOOKING BACK ON A MEMORABLE MOMENT OF CULTURAL EXCELLENCE

Amahoro DRUMMERS is honoured to reflect on our recent performance at the 2026 African Disability Collaboration (ADC) Summit, held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, following an official invitation from Fount for Nations, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare.

Performing before distinguished delegates, development partners, and guests from across Africa was both a privilege and a responsibility. Under the summit theme, "Early Action: A Strong Start to Rehabilitation in Africa," we proudly used the powerful rhythms of the Burundi Royal Drums to celebrate Africa's rich cultural heritage while supporting the message of inclusion, dignity, and equal opportunity for persons with disabilities.

We sincerely thank Fount for Nations, the Ministry, the summit organizers, partners, delegates, and every guest who welcomed us with such warmth and appreciation. Your commitment to building a more inclusive Africa continues to inspire us.
Every invitation we receive is more than an opportunity to perform—it is an opportunity to preserve culture, build bridges between communities, and demonstrate the unifying power of traditional African arts.

Culture Beyond Competition | A Moment to Remember 🇧🇮🤝🇲🇼

Yesterday at Bingu National Stadium, history was not only written on the scoreboard—but in the hearts of the people.
Following a spirited match between the Burundi U-17 and Malawi U-17 teams, which ended in a 2–1 victory for Burundi, a remarkable moment unfolded.

A group of Burundian supporters had arranged for Amahoro drummers to perform after the game. What began as a celebration quickly transformed into something far greater.
In a powerful and unexpected display of unity, both Malawian and Burundian fans came together—dancing, celebrating, and sharing joy—proving that sport may bring competition, but culture builds bridges.

As Amahoro drummers, with 99% of our members born in exile, we hold a deep and genuine connection to Malawi as our second home. When these two nations meet, we do not choose sides—we stand for both. We represent peace, shared identity, and the enduring strength of cultural expression.

The lesson is clear:
