On the 10th of this month, we had a school bag distribution event at Dzaleka Community Day Secondary School. The beneficiaries were children who are orphans, raised by a single parent and also those coming from families with financial burdens.

This event was organised by Divine A Irakoze as a way of celebrating her birthday and her Graduation. She graduated With a degree In International Relations at Brigham Young University. This gesture was to encourage all the youths regardless of their background that everything is possible if you believe in yourself.

We also take the opportunity to sincerely thank Mr. Patrick Kamchikwe for accepting our invitation to be our guest of honour and address the school children. We really appreciate it.

Lastly, our heartfelt thanks goes to all the wonderful well-wishers who made our school bag distribution event a huge success! 🙏❤️ Your support and kind gestures mean the world to us and the kids. You've made a lasting impact on their smiles and futures. Thanks for being part of this beautiful initiative! 🌟

'Disability is not an inability'

As we had announced earlier, we hosted a Christmas party (24/12/2024) for children living with different disabilities. It was such a day filled with laughter and happiness for the kids and their guardians. Our aim for this event was to make these children feel that they're also recognized by the community.

We would like to thank each and everyone who contributed (in terms of money, participation and also in prayers) for this event to be a success. Words cannot explain how grateful the kids are and us as an organization. May the Almighty bless each and everyone who took part in the event.

Building Bonds of Love: A Heartwarming Day with Orphans

On the 31/12/2023, we were very excited to have a heartwarming event where we spent a memorable day with some of the orphaned children in Dzaleka Refugee Camp. It was an opportunity to create beautiful moments, share smiles, and make a positive impact on these wonderful children's lives.

We had several activities like:
- Quiz competition
- Music and dance
- Snack time with delicious treats
- Presentation of gifts and so many more..

As Dzaleka Youth In Action (DYIA), we were so happy to see the impact this event had on these children.
