In recent yrs, support services to the livestock sector have declined due to several factors.One way to redress the problems caused by this decline is to utilise the resources available within rural communities themselves.This can be done through providing basic trainings to selected individuals based within the communities.This principle is not new,it has been a system used in Malawi since the 1990s and has been utilised in other countries in the region for some yrs.
