URGENT APPEAL FOR SUPPORT
Today, our team conducted a home visit to assess the case of a child-headed household in Village Head Mauwa, T/A Chitera, Chiradzulu District.The household consists of four siblings, with the eldest son, 12, caring for his three younger siblings, aged 9, 7, and 5.

Upon assessment, we found the children struggling to meet their basic needs. Their grandmother, who is elderly and unable to provide support, is the only other family member present. The house lacks doors and windows, and the children are in dire need of food, clothing, school uniforms, soap, and bedding.

We are calling on well-wishers to join hands with Imran Bedi Foundation to support these resilient children. Your contribution can make a significant difference in their lives.

Promoting Youth Empowerment & Innovative Young people in Chiradzulu District.

Today 7 February, 2026. The Imran Bedi Foundation successfully hosted an Economic Empowerment Program for youths in T/A Chitera, Chiradzulu District. The event focused on civic education about the National Youth Policy, its goals, mission, and objectives, empowering young people to be agents of change in their communities.

Representatives from local youth clubs, including Chitera Youth Club, Tipindulr Youth Club, Tingathe Youth Club, Runa Youth Club, Nkhande Youth Club, and Mwinje Youth Club, participated in the program. Discussions centered on the National Youth Policy, Malawi Vision 2063, and Sustainable Development Goals.

A medical professional joined the event at Chitera Health Center, providing education on HIV prevention, OraQuick HIV Self Test kits, and male condom use. Resources were distributed, and demonstrations were given to promote awareness and prevention.

This initiative aimed to create a conducive environment for all in Chiradzulu District, aligning with our mission to empower local communities.

IMRAN BEDI FOUNDATION EMPOWERS MBULUMBUZI YOUTH CLUB

The Imran Bedi Foundation recently conducted a comprehensive Youth Empowerment and Mental Health Counseling program for members of Mbulumbuzi Youth Club, in Chiradzulu District. The initiative aimed to equip youths with essential life skills, promote mental well-being, and foster a supportive community.

During the program, participants received guidance on:
1.Youth Empowerment: Accessing resources, opportunities, and support for youth development
2.Mental Health Counseling: Stress management, anxiety, and emotional well-being

Additionally, the foundation:
3.Facilitated Registration: Assisted Mbulumbuzi Youth Club with registration procedures at Chiradzulu District Youth Office
4.Leadership Development: Conducted voting for executive positions, promoting democratic leadership
