A quarterly meeting for the Gender Technical Working Group Salima District Council) was held yesterday at Salima District Council. Luso Langa, as a member of the TWG was in attendance. The District Social Welfare Office shared updates on the prevalence of cases of child abuse in the district.

Gulu la Luso Langa Community Foundation loweluka lapitali linachititsa msonkhano ndi aphunzitsi oyang’anira Makalabu a Umunthu (Integrity Clubs) ochokera ku Sukulu za Pulayimale za Kambiri, Chipoka 1, ndi Muonekera m’dera la Chipoka ku Salima. Msonkhanowu unachitika ku maofesi a bungweli ku Chipoka kutsatira pempho lochokera ku masukuluwa lofuna kukhazikitsa mgwirizano ndi bungweli pothandiza Makalabu a Umunthu.

Pa msonkhanowu, ophunzitsiwa ndi Gulu lal Luso Langa anakonza ndondomeko ya ntchito zomwe zidzachitike kudzera mu mgwirizanowu.

Luso Langa lati linadzipereka kuthandiza makalabuwa pa ntchito zosiyanasiyana monga kubweretsa anthu achitsanzo (role models) kuti alimbikitse ophunzira, kukondwerera Tsiku la Achinyamata Padziko Lonse, Tsiku la Mtsikana Padziko Lonse lomwe lidzachitikire pa Sukulu ya Kambiri, ntchito zokhudzana ndi tsiku la Chidziwitso cha Fistula, komanso maphunziro olimbikitsa makhalidwe abwino ndi nkhani ya za Umoyo ndi Ufulu Wokhudza uchembere (SRHR) kwa mamembala a Makalabu a Umunthu.

Mgwirizanowu udzagwira ntchito kwa miyezi itatu ikubwerayi ngati gawo la kudzipereka kwa gululi komanso kugwira ntchito limodzi ndi magulu a m’dera pofuna kulimbikitsa kusintha kwabwino kwa anthu komanso chitukuko cha achinyamata.

Makalabu a Umunthu anakhazikitsidwa ndi nthambi yothana ndiziphuphu la Anti-Corruption Bureau Malawi. (ACB) pofuna kulimbikitsa maphunziro a makhalidwe abwino, umphumphu, ndi chitukuko cha khalidwe la ophunzira a m’masukulu a pulayimale.

𝙇𝙪𝙨𝙤 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙐𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙪 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙤𝙠𝙖 𝙕𝙤𝙣𝙚

Yesterday, Luso Langa Community Foundation hosted patrons of Umunthu (Integrity) Clubs from Kambiri, Chipoka 1, and Muonekera Primary Schools in Chipoka Zone, Salima, at its offices in Chipoka. The meeting followed a request from the schools to establish a partnership with the Foundation in support of the Umunthu Clubs.

During the meeting, the participants developed a joint action plan outlining key activities to be implemented through the partnership. Luso Langa Community Foundation committed to supporting the clubs in the implementation of various initiatives, including role model engagement to inspire learners, commemoration of International Youth Day, International Day of the Girl Child celebrations at Kambiri Primary School, Fistula Awareness Day activities, and capacity-building workshops on character development and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for Umunthu Club members.

The partnership will be implemented over the coming three months as part of the Foundation’s commitment to working with community structures to promote positive social change and youth development.

Umunthu Clubs were established by the Anti-Corruption Bureau Malawi. (ACB) to promote values education, integrity, and character development among primary school learners.
