Exploring Technology to Drive Social Impact

Last week, our co-founder, Modester Mangilani also had the opportunity to attended the Africa Tech Festival in Cape Town, an inspiring event showcasing cutting-edge technologies transforming the world. She was particularly inspired by innovations designed for NGOs, sparking ideas about how Ukani can leverage these tools to amplify our work and expand our reach.

From advanced data management systems to digital learning platforms, the festival highlighted the potential of tech to solve challenges and create opportunities for organizations like ours. We’re looking forward to integrating these insights into our efforts to support and empower young mothers at the Ukani Young Mothers Center.

Empowering Young Mothers Through Innovation and Impact

Our co-founder, Modester Mangilani, proudly represented Ukani at the YALI Alumni Expo and Trade Show 2024, showcasing the amazing products created by young mothers at the UKani Young Mothers Center, such as reusable pads, bags and even the clothes she wore.

Through her participation, Modester shared the transformative work we’re doing to empower young mothers with skills, opportunities, knowledge of their rights and hope for a brighter future. We’re excited about the connections made and the inspiration drawn from fellow YALI alumni and everyone present as we continue to innovate and impact lives.
