Blantyre is ready to build the next African football story.

What started as simple football activities at our children's center is now growing into something bigger — a club built on talent, opportunity, and community transformation.

Today we proudly introduce Blantyre Football Club

Our mission is simple:
Identify, develop, and elevate young football talent in Malawi to the highest level possible.

Across our communities, there are gifted young players who only lack opportunity, exposure, and professional guidance.

You never know, the next Didier Drogba, the next Sadio Mané, or the next African football legend may already be playing on dusty fields in Blantyre today.

We believe football can: transform young lives, create professional opportunities, unite communities, and inspire a new generation.

To make this vision possible, we are inviting partners to join us in building a club that develops talent and opens doors.

We are looking for:
• Investors
• Football scouts and recruiters
• Volunteer coaches
• Sports development partners
• Sponsors
• Football enthusiasts who believe in youth potential.

If you believe in the power of football to change lives, this is your invitation to join the movement.

Reach out and be part of building the future of football in Malawi, because somewhere in Blantyre today… a future star is waiting to be discovered.

special thanks to Nikolas Newcamp and The Backroom Staff

Every child deserves a place where they feel safe, seen, and loved. At our Children’s Center in Machinga, this belief is at the heart of everything we do.

For many of the children who come through our doors, life is not always easy. Some are raised by grandparents, some come from homes where resources are scarce, and others simply need a safe place where they can learn, play, and grow like every child should.

Talandira Children's Center is a place where children can learn their first letters, share meals together, laugh freely, and dream about their future.
Over the years, this small center has become something truly special. More than 5,000 children have passed through our programs, learning, playing, building friendships, and discovering their potential.

Here, learning is not only about books; it is about confidence, creativity, teamwork, and joy. You will see children singing, drawing, playing football, asking curious questions, and sometimes simply enjoying the comfort of knowing that someone cares about them.

But building this kind of environment takes effort, resources, and a community that believes children deserve better. Right now we are working to improve the center even further, building spaces where children can eat together, creating play areas, strengthening classrooms, and ensuring every child who walks in feels valued.

Because when a child grows in a supportive environment, something powerful happens. They begin to believe in themselves, and when children believe in themselves, the future of a community begins to change.

To everyone who continues to support this journey, thank you. And to those who are just discovering our work, we invite you to walk with us as we continue building a place where children can learn, play, and dream freely.

More than bricks, this is where hope will be cooked.

Today, our hands are busy, our clothes dusty, and our hearts full. What you see here is not just a building under construction; it is a kitchen of dignity, a space that will soon prepare warm, nutritious meals for the children we serve every day. For many of them, this meal will be the most reliable food they receive.

This kitchen means children learning on a full stomach, better health, focus, and attendance, and safe and hygienic food preparation.

We are building this with limited resources, local labour, and an unshakable belief that no child should learn hungry. Every brick laid is a reminder that small organisations can do big things when communities come together. We are not there yet, but we are moving forward, one block at a time.

If you’ve ever wondered how your support turns into impact, this is it. You can donate here https://www.zoemedicalfoundation.org.au/10/donate to support the construction of the kitchen and support the meals.

Together, we are building more than a kitchen. We are building care, consistency, and hope.

A new year has arrived, and with it comes fresh belief, bigger dreams, and an unshakable commitment to building something that lasts. To every supporter, volunteer, partner, and believer who stood with us in the past year, this new chapter is yours too. Thank you...

Forget about how we got hammered last year because we didn’t just enter 2026; we announced ourselves. On Saturday, Saliwa FC kicked off the year with a bold 3–1 victory against a disciplined and well-organized side, Mapale Fc. We were the underdogs; we trained with purpose in mind, and we arrived with belief, and that belief carried us through. When the final whistle blew, everyone was excited: dancing, smiles, and pure joy. This was not only because we won a match but also because the boys saw what is possible when opportunity meets effort. But this victory is only the opening sentence of a much bigger story.

Our 2026 ambition is clear: build a proper sports ground facility, a home for football, netball, basketball, and volleyball; purchase quality sports equipment so talent is not limited by lack of tools; and train coaches to nurture discipline, skill, and leadership. It also includes strengthening and developing our teams, launching women’s football and netball teams, and establishing under-14 boys’ and girls’ teams because talent must be nurtured early. Our belief remains the same: sport is not just a game; it is protection, opportunity, confidence, and community. It keeps young people focused, it builds leaders, and it gives girls and boys a voice, a team, a place they belong, and a dream.

In 2026, we are not just playing matches; we are building pathways, we are creating safe spaces, and we are raising the next generation of athletes and role models. If you’ve ever believed in the power of sport to change lives, this is your moment to stand with us.

One win. One dream. One community rising together.

Special thanks to our staff, The Backroom Staff, Nikolas Newcamp and Zoe Medical Foundation.

Wishing you all love, peace, success, and a happy new year!
