This Africa Day, we highlight the importance of breast cancer awareness across the continent.
Studies in sub-Saharan Africa show that many women are still diagnosed with breast cancer at late stages. Research also shows that survival rates in parts of Africa remain below 50%, largely due to limited awareness, delayed diagnosis, and reduced access to screening and treatment.
The good news is that early detection saves lives. Regular self-checks, awareness, and timely screening can make a difference for African women and communities.
At BCCF, we are committed to providing FREE breast cancer screening and awareness services in Malawi because every woman deserves access to early care and support.
