Mayi wa zaka 30 ku Mchinji akhalabe m'manja mwa apolisi kwa masiku asanu ndi awiri (7) pamodzi ndi khanda lake la masabata awiri kufikira lachitatu sabata ino, pa mlandu wonyanyalira mamuna khandalo.

A Matilda Chirwa, omwe akuyankha mlandu wosiya mwana pa mtetete,lachinayi sabata yatha anapita ku ntchito kwa mamuna wawo wa kale, komwe anakasiya khandalo kamba koti samapereka chithandizo.

Bamboyu anadziwitsa apolisi za nkhaniyi omwe anagwira mayiyu pamodzi ndi mwana wakeyo.

Pakadali pano, wachiwiri kwa magistrate Annie Simwaka lero wakana kupereka belo kwa mayiyu kufikira lachitatu sabata ino pomwe adzapitirire kumva mlanduwu.

Women Empower is a safe space aimed at empowering women to freely and anonymously discuss issues relating to Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, Gender Roles in Society, Child Maintenance, Gender Based Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health among other things.

It is aimed at equipping women with information regarding legal rights, prevention and response to these critical issues.
