FOHOP is training local leaders to integrate disability mainstreaming into all community development initiatives and funding allocations.

As FOHOP advocates for disability mainstreaming, it requires a collective effort involving well-informed participants who understand what they are advocating for.

For this reason, FOHOP is equipping leaders with an understanding of how to reduce violence and discrimination against women and children with disabilities in Blantyre District through the Empower for Change advocacy project.

This involvement will enhance the effectiveness of the advocacy, as these leaders are the frontline actors.

Empower for Change - Raising Voices for Women and Persons with Disabilities in Blantyre District

In an inspiring effort to enhance healthcare access for residents of Lunzu in Blantyre District, FOHOP partnered with Kadidi Healthy Centre for a mobile clinic, with an aim of reaching individuals in remote areas, providing HIV testing, counseling, and other services offered by Kadidi to ensure better health outcomes for the community.
