We had the honour of meeting with the Dean to formally acknowledge and express our sincere appreciation for her continued support, guidance and commitment to the growth and development of our society.

Our Vice President, together with our former General Secretary, recently visited NBS Bank where they met with Mr. Tembo, Chief Financial Officer and proud SOCAS alumnus.

The visit was an opportunity to present our appreciation and thank NBS Bank for their support throughout the past year and their participation in Accountancy Day. Partnerships like these continue to play an important role in connecting students with the professional community.

We had the privilege of meeting with the team at Deloitte, represented by their HR Manager, Mr. Kanyatula. The meeting was attended by members of our executive leadership, the President, Vice President, General Secretary and Finance Controller.

The visit served as an opportunity to express our sincere appreciation for Deloitte’s continued support in recognising and awarding Dean’s List students, a partnership that plays a vital role in encouraging academic excellence among aspiring accountants.

Dear SOCAS Members,

The Executive Board of SOCAS 2026 would like to sincerely thank you all for attending the Welcoming Function held on Friday, 27th February 2026. Your presence made the event truly meaningful.

We were honoured to host Mrs Chrissy Jere, Director of Education and training from Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). Her presence reflected the strong and valued partnership between ICAM and SOCAS.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. G. Tegha, our Patron, for his continued guidance and support. Our gratitude further goes to the Director of Clubs and Societies, Mr. Kiswigho Mwakasungula and the SOBES President, Mr. Emmanuel Mpakwe, for their support and presence at the event.

In addition, we would like to thank our former SOCAS President, Mr. R. Issah and the Former Vice President, Miss Takondwa Malanga, for their leadership and contribution to the growth of the society.

Finally, we are deeply grateful to ICAM for their unwavering support towards SOCAS. Their contributions remain invaluable to our growth and development.
