We were also honoured by the presence of Mr. Pemphero Mphande, a renowned youth advocate and influencer, who challenged young people to embrace a mindset shift and take an active role in addressing gender-based violence against women and girls.

He emphasised that young people must become change agents within their communities, using their voices, influence and collective action to challenge harmful norms, promote respect and contribute to creating safer communities for women and girls.

His powerful message amplified the call of the Together For Her Safety Anti-GBV Parade and Conference: meaningful change requires young people to be part of the solution.

We marched, raised our voices, and reaffirmed our collective responsibility to protect women and girls and demand safer communities.

🚨 TOGETHER-FOR-HER SAFETY PARADE | 18 SEPTEMBER 2026
Bhayethe Impact Foundation, with support from the CSP Solidarity Fund, invites communities, partners, youth, women’s rights organisations and allies to stand Together for Her Safety in a powerful response to femicide and gender-based violence against women and girls in Malawi.
