Empowering Women Through Financial Literacy
The Institute for Prosperity & Education (iPE) recently had the privilege of facilitating a Financial Literacy Masterclass in Mlenga Village, T/A Machinjiri, Blantyre, where 25 women participated in an engaging and interactive learning session.
The session was facilitated by Khumbo Mabaso, Executive Director of iPE, who guided participants through practical discussions and exercises on managing money, understanding simple market forces, and strengthening their small businesses.
Through relatable examples drawn from everyday market activities, the training simplified financial concepts and equipped participants with practical tools, knowledge, and confidence to better manage their businesses and finances. The interactive approach ensured that participants could easily understand and apply the lessons to their daily entrepreneurial activities.
At iPE, we believe that economic empowerment begins with knowledge. By making financial literacy practical and accessible, women entrepreneurs are better positioned to make informed financial decisions, grow their businesses, and improve their livelihoods.
We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to contribute to this important initiative and would like to acknowledge the invitation under the SheLeads Project led by Tapiwa Mwafulirwa, whose efforts to empower women through entrepreneurship and livelihood development continue to make a meaningful impact in communities.
Together, initiatives like these help build more resilient entrepreneurs, stronger households, and more prosperous communities.
