INVITATION TO PARTNER IN THE RENOVATION OF SOUTH LUNZU POLICE STATION

Dear Well-wishers

Active Youth Association for Health and Human Rights is currently spearheading a community initiative to renovate and repaint the South Lunzu Police Station in Blantyre

While we appreciate the ongoing efforts of the government to improve security infrastructure, we recognize the immediate need to assist our local integration partner to ensure a safer, cleaner, and more welcoming environment for both police officers and members of the public. This initiative aims to foster social cohesion, improve social functioning, and enhance community security.

We are proud to share that we are working in collaboration with Ngundende General Contractors. . , who are graciously donating their expertise to lead the technical aspects of this project.

To complete this endeavor, we are reaching out to you as a respected member of our community to request support in the form of paint and painting materials.

Any contribution will directly improve the working conditions of our law enforcement partners and demonstrate our collective commitment to a secure society.

Don't let our police station look broken down. Let’s make it a pride of our community.

Active Youth Association (AYA) for Health and Human Rights extends its warmest congratulations to our esteemed colleague and health advocate, Pemphero Mphande, on the official opening of Mr P Pharmacy 💊

Situated conveniently opposite Kandodo Corner Shop in Blantyre, this new establishment marks a vital milestone in expanding access to safe, affordable, and reliable pharmaceutical services. Given Mr. Mphande's extensive background in medical laboratory sciences and his tireless dedication to public health, we have no doubt that Mr P Pharmacy will be a beacon of wellness for the community.

We wish him abundant grace, growth, and success in this remarkable entrepreneurial and health sector endeavor

Today on Thursday 18 June 2026
marks a monumental step forward for adolescent health and human rights as Active Youth Association (AYA)
proudly welcomed the Tikondane Youth & Drama Group from Chiradzulu
for a vital learning and exchange visit at the South Lunzu Health Centre.

During the visit, adolescents and young people participated in comprehensive Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS). The sessions focused heavily on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV prevention, condom promotion, and access to PrEP.

To solidify their shared vision AYA and Tikondane signed a landmark Partnership Agreement. This ongoing collaboration will empower youth across multiple sectors, including community participation, health and education, human rights, food security, and environmental mitigation.

The day was further enriched by powerful, youth-led performances—including drama and poetry—that highlighted the importance of peer education. This initiative was graciously supported by the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation which continues to be a cornerstone in Malawi's fight for an AIDS-free generation. We were also deeply honored to have officers from Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) in attendance, showcasing the power of cross-district networking.

Together, these organizations are ensuring that young Malawians have safe spaces to access the critical health and human rights resources they need to thrive.
