Today, ASKE Organization convened a powerful engagement with healthcare providers in Blantyre to strengthen inclusive, rights-based SRHR and HIV service delivery for LGBTQI+ communities.
Following the closure of Drop-In Centres, many LBQ women, gender non-conforming, and transgender people have been pushed out of care due to stigma, discrimination, and unsafe service environments. This meeting was a strategic response to that gap.

Together with healthcare workers, we addressed:
• respectful and affirming care
• confidentiality and ethical service provision
• real barriers faced by LGBTQI+ clients in public facilities
• practical ways providers can restore trust and improve access

The result:
providers better equipped, systems more accountable, and communities safer.

This is what sustainable change looks like—investing in people, shifting practice, and embedding inclusion into everyday healthcare delivery.

When women transition to men, they’re very respectful about it. They transition. They hit the gym. They continue living their lives in peace and harmony with everyone.

Men on the other hand when they transition, make it a duty to compete with biological women and are often very disrespectful about it.

They taunt women for fun.

They tell women the things that make them women are false and doesn’t. They went as far as giving biological women terms so they themselves can fit into the “women” category.

Cis-woman.

I saw one that said womb women or something.

The disrespect!

“oh your period doesn’t make you a woman. We also experience period cramps”

“Oh that you can get doesn’t make you a woman”

They encroach on women’s spaces and demand that women accept them and when you don’t, you’re labeled transphobic.

They tell biological women how they’re more women than them. Inukwa agadi nwoke maka o yi bumshort.

I’ve concluded misogyny is inborn. It’s a man thing and transwomen are misogynistic because they’re men outside the costume they wear on the outside. It’s in their DNA

Womanhood isn’t a costume. It’s not the dress, hair or makeup that makes a woman, it’s the biological makeup, it’s our lives. You can’t copy women and then boldly disrespect and try to shut them up.

A woman isn’t anyone who identifies as one. A woman is a woman.

You’re not a woman. You’re a Transwoman.

Why should I who was born female, lived female be labeled cis just so you aren’t labeled trans?

Accept it. Why is the term offensive?

🌍 World Su***de Prevention Day 🕊️✨

Today, we stand in solidarity with LGBTQ+ individuals across the globe who continue to face stigma, rejection, and discrimination—factors that increase vulnerability to depression and su***de. 💔

💡 You are not alone.
Your identity is valid. Your story matters. Your life has value.

As a community, we must work together to create safe spaces where LGBTQ+ people can find acceptance, love, and mental health support. Together, we can break the silence, fight stigma, and spread hope. 🌈💪

💜 On this day, let us commit to:
✔️ Listening without judgment
✔️ Supporting one another
✔️ Advocating for accessible mental health services
✔️ Reminding our LGBTQ+ family that they belong

If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for support. Talking about it can save a life. 🫂💖

✨ Let’s turn pain into hope, and silence into action. ✨

Today, March 31st, we celebrate the International Day of Trans Visibility. This day is a powerful reminder to acknowledge, celebrate, and support the transgender community. It's a time to amplify transgender voices, challenge prejudice, and work towards a world where everyone can live authentically and freely.

Transgender people face significant challenges and discrimination, often experiencing violence, harassment, and lack of access to healthcare and employment opportunities. We must recognize the courage it takes for transgender individuals to live their truth in a world that often fails to understand or accept them.

Let's use this day to educate ourselves and others about the transgender experience. We can all do our part to create a more inclusive and accepting world for transgender individuals. Let's work together to dismantle harmful stereotypes and create a future where everyone can live with dignity and respect.
