A 16-year-old pupil, Aisha Banda, of PIM Primary School in Chiradzulu, is on the verge of missing her Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations after school authorities allegedly registered her as an external candidate instead of an internal candidate.

According to her father, Yesaya Banda, he was summoned by the school's headteacher last week and informed about the registration error.

Banda said he reported the matter to the District Education Office in an effort to have the issue resolved, but no action had been taken as this morning.

When contacted for comment, Chiradzulu District Education Manager Annie Kaliwo declined to discuss the matter, saying she was preparing to go into the field to supervise examination activities as the examinations get underway.
